Ligaflex® Rhizo Thumb Splint
The “Ligaflex® Rhizo Thumb Splint” is a static thumb orthosis designed for immobilization of the thumb in an antalgic position. The metal wire brace provides a perfect fit. Various materials, such as Zirtex® around the thumb column and Thermytex fabric on the inside, enhance wearing comfort (breathable, optimal moisture management, and antibacterial). Two Velcro closures simplify the application of the product.
Indications:
- Trauma of the wrist base or thumb (CMC and/or MCP)
- Rehabilitation after surgery on the wrist base or thumb
- CMC / MCP arthritis
- Rheumatoid arthritis in the hand
- Immobilization of the trapeziometacarpal joint in cases of early rhizarthrosis
- Pain in the basal joint of the thumb
- Arthritis around the scaphoid bone
- Post-operative
- Insertion of the prosthesis
- Trapezectomy
- Surgery for metacarpal fractures at the base of MC 1: Rolando or Bennett fractures
- Mild thumb sprain
